New squishy interactive lamps of Piplup and Pikachu have followed the Rowlet version which are to be the standard 3,520 yen (tax included). Also confirmed is a new Poképeace Twirling Crepe Plush of Alcremie will also release for 2,750 yen (tax included).

New Space-Time Smackdown Expansion
Beginning January 30th 2025, players will be able to discover a variety of Pokémon from the Sinnoh region in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pockets latest expansion, Space-Time Smackdown. The Space-Time Smackdown expansion includes two new digital booster packs featuring the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. In addition, new and unique card illustrations will feature Pokémon new to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, including the fan-favourite Pokémon Lucario and the three first partner Pokémon from the Sinnoh region: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Players around the world can collect new cards from the Space-Time Smackdown expansion by opening booster packs or by using the wonder pick feature.

[New Pokémon release information due] On Saturday, February 1st, a new title in the "Fluffy Stuffed Toy" series will appear at the Pokémon Center! This time, Eevee, Espeon and Umbreon joins the ranks (for 4,950 yen each)! Be sure to check out the soft and fluffy plush toys! Pokémon Center Online will start handling the goods on Thursday, January 30th at 10am.

Today, The Pokémon Company group announced that the popular Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app will soon introduce a highly anticipated trade feature for all players beginning January 29th 2025. In addition, players can look forward to a brand-new expansion for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, titled Space-Time Smackdown, releasing on January 30th.

New Trade Feature
Releasing on January 29th 2025, the new trade feature will allow players to trade their digital Pokémon cards with friends, broadening options for growing card collections in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Players will need to use two new items, trade hourglasses and trade tokens, in order to trade cards with a rarity of ¨1-4 and ★1 with cards of the same rarity. Upon release of the new feature, players will be able to trade certain cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, with plans currently in place to expand the lineup of tradeable cards in future updates.*

[New release information] A brand new Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 - 02.04.2025 will air on Wednesday April 2nd, 2025, offering a closer look at Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to Nintendo Switch releasing in 2025. [Masters EX merchandise] Starting from February 22nd, a promotion will be held in online and physical Animate Stores and Movic stores in Japan where customers will receive a special Pokémon Masters EX themed postcard for every 1,100 yen spent in participating products. Additionally, if the fair requirements are met, players shopping at physical stores who present their Pokémon Masters EX game screen at the register when making their purchase will receive an extra postcard with their order. Receiving a repeated postcard is possible. There are a total of four postcard types which have been announced so far, with a fifth to be announced at a later point.

The Japanese Pokémon website has opened pre-orders of a huge range of merchandise themed after Pokémon Masters EX, with acrylic stands, acrylic photo blocks, postcards, can badges, tapestry, stickers and plush themed after the in-game Lodge Decoration plush. First introduced in the Pokémon TCG: Gym Heroes expansion, Trainer’s Pokémon will return to the Pokémon TCG in Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together, as initially revealed during the 2024 Pokémon World Championships. Trainer’s Pokémon cards will showcase the special bond shared between a powerful Pokémon Trainer and their Pokémon, with each card displaying the Trainer’s name. Players can also discover unique artwork featuring various Trainers in illustration rare, ultra rare, special illustration rare, and hyper rare cards. In Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together, players can look forward to collecting and playing with new Trainer’s Pokémon cards, including N’s Zoroark ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex and Hop’s Zacian ex.

Players can find Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and various collections at Pokémon Center and participating retailers worldwide. Select products from the expansion are now available for preorder at Pokémon Center in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., including the Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box and the Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together Enhanced Booster Display Box, which includes a bonus illustration rare-style card featuring N’s Reshiram with the Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together logo.

To add to the new announcements, Nintendo and Game Freak have trademarked "Mega Symphonia" and "Mega Brave." This seems to hint at new TCG sets coming to Japan later this year. We will update you if any merchandise developments for Mega Evolution come in 2025, which should coincide with these sets.

[New Pokémon release information] 2025 Is the Year of Eevee at the Pokémon Center The Evolution Pokémon is in the spotlight with an abundance of adorable products on the way. The new year has just begun, and while it’s difficult to predict exactly what 2025 has in store, there’s one guarantee—an abundance of Eevee. 2025 will be celebrating Eevee and each of its adorable Evolutions all year long, so there are plenty of exciting products to look forward to.

Some of the new items include detailed figures that showcase the unique attitudes of each Eevee Evolution, and adventure partner key chains so you can bring Eevee or your favorite Eevee Evolution with you wherever you go. Plus, don’t miss new pearlescent Pop! figures by Funko, Pokémon Kitchen designs featuring Eevee, and cozy Eevee plush. The excitement starts now with Pokémon Dolls plush, including Eevee and almost all its Evolutions returning to the store. It comes with a paper tag that can also be used as a message card, and is recommended as a gift for your loved ones! Be sure to check it out. [New Pokémon product release information] On Saturday, January 11th, "My Little Bestie," a merchandise themed on life with dog Pokémon, will be available at the Pokémon Center! The line-up includes "sitting plush toys" of Pokémon, as well as "cushions with blankets" that will be very active in the coming season. In addition, there will be a sweatshirt with a brushed back with a Pokémon on it, as well as plush that makes a sound, and more, so be sure to check it out! Pokémon Center Online will start handling the game on Thursday, January 9th at 10 a.m.
