Pokémon Kalos Region [ROUTE TWELVE]

The Kalos region (Japanese: カロス地方 Kalos region)

Route 12 (Japanese: １２番道路 Route 12) is a route in northern Kalos, connecting Shalour City, Coumarine City, and Azure Bay. The route is also known as Fourrage Road (Japanese: フラージュ通り Fourrage Road). This route is the location of Baa de Mer Ranch, where several Skiddo can be ridden on. The Skiddo can be used to access areas of the route that are blocked by fences or ledges.

Route description

Route 12 is divided apart by a body of water, requiring Surf to get across and thus preventing the player from advancing past it until they've beaten Korrina at the Shalour Gym and thus become able to use said HM move outside of battle. Near the Shalour City gate stands a Pokémon Breeder, who, after the player has earned the Rumble Badge, will give them his Lapras as a gift. The other side of the route is decorated by fields of grass and yellow flowers.

Baa de Mer Ranch
Baa de Mer Ranch is a ranch dedicated solely for Skiddo. The player can ride a Skiddo to access areas beyond otherwise unsurpassable ledges. A part of the ranch fence is broken down, allowing the player to ride Skiddo on the main route as well. While riding a Skiddo, the player cannot encounter wild Pokémon, interact with NPCs or signs, use field moves, or use items like the Dowsing Machine. Skiddo cannot be ridden outside of the route. It can be dismounted at any point, except for tall grass or flowers.

• Honey ~ In the bare, northeast corner of the fenced area north of the Shalour City Gate (hidden, reappears occasionally).
  

• Aspear Berry ~ In front of the Berry tree to the south of the Shalour City Gate (requires Cut) (regenerates after 7 days).
  

• Net Ball ~ At the southern end of the beach across the water from the Shalour City Gate, on the northern rock (hidden).
  

• TM45 (Attract) ~ Gift from the girl in the ranch house.
  

• Sachet ~ Behind the ranch house (requires Cut).
  

• Shiny Stone ~ Northeast of the ranch, beyond three ledges (requires riding a Skiddo).
  

• Whipped Dream ~ South of the southwest end of the ranch (requires riding a Skiddo).
  

• Leftovers ~ In the southwest of the ranch side of the route, down a path between the fields of yellow flowers (requires Cut).
  

• Ice Heal ~ On the beach near the entrance to Coumarine City, two spaces away from the southwestern corner (hidden).
  

• Water Stone ~ On a rock on a shelf of shallow water northwest from the entrance to Coumarine City (requires Surf) (hidden).
